The Fire-Guard stood atop the Barbican, ready to assist the Guardians in its defense. Four powerful Elementals, tethered to this plane by the power of the High Priest. Their legs were thick as tree trunks, and ended in pools of lava. They held massive ponderous axes made of obsidian– hardened volcanic glass, sharpened to cut the hair of an Il’Gra and whose heavy blow could split a dragon down the center– and they towered over most beings.

Description
The Temple Fire-Guard serve the Cauldron of Fire, helping the Guardians of the Sacred Fire to secure the Barbican gate. The gate leads to the undertunnels, and is under threat of invasion by Maiax.
The Fire-Guard were created to help supplement the Guardians, in times when they must rest or be away briefly.
They are composed of Fire, and possibly the souls of warriors and Champions loyal to the House.
They carry immense axes, capable of severing almost any creature in Massina in half, with a single blow.
