The Grondal adore food, combat, and little else. While they're young, Grondal combatants have their left arm replaced with a tough metal alloy for strategic advantage. Unable to feel fear, the Grondal are always willing to fight to a bitter, brutal end.

The Grondal stands at a height of 2m (approximately 6 ft 7 inches).

Spotlight:

• In Champions: Deal With a Darulk, Grondals are noted to be strong, brainless brutes.

• People use the name as an insult: In Champions: Heavy is the Head Vitrus yelled "Hey there, Grondal face!" and in Champions: Maestro Pt. 4 the Emperor's emcee blared his horn and called out: “Ladies and grondalworms."

• The Grondal's metal arm can be used as a defensive weapon: "Fidelis bit down hard on the Grondal’s metal arm. His yelp of displeasure pierced Jun’s ears."
• Writer Ryan in the House of Lore noted that there are Grondal heroes, and their society is extremely macho, and based on the relinquishing of fear. Even fear of having their own bodies modified. Furthermore, of they appear stupid to other families, it's because they don't like to reveal the secrets of their culture to outsiders. They have been betrayed many times, and judged for their extreme rituals. So, the Grondals have decided they have no use for other families' judgement.
