Fenrir
Description
Natives of the City of the Moon, the Fenrir have sword revenge against the Darulk for the destruction of their home. Formerly a peaceful society deeply connected with nature, the Fenrir turned their focus towards becoming feared and respected Champions.[1]

History
The Fenrir were once a peaceful society, deeply connected with nature and worshippers of the Moon. They battled fiercely against the Darulk invasion, but when the Alpha Kuro’s son murdered and ate the children of a village, the grieving mother Ilona aligned her Sadaari with the Darulk to destroy the Alpha family and the City of the Moon. When the Alpha family was killed under the light of the full moon, the Sadaari were cursed. The remnants of the Fenrir people have sworn vengeance against the Sadaari.[3]
Spotlight:
- The Fenrir were a huge focus of the Season 1 Lore short stories.
- In Deal with a Darulk[4], a Mountain Fenrir is created by Prometheus, ascends to the “third level” before defeating a Fire Il’gra. We also hear our first lore mention of the tragedy and animosity between the Fenrir and the Darulk.
- In Ilona’s Tale[3], we learn the details of the brutal tragedy that occurred to the City of the Moon, where the would be Darulk and would be Sadaari defeated the Fenrir and killed their Alpha under the light of the Moon, leading to the cursed visage on longevity of being a Sadaari.
- In Champions: Maestro[2] Part 1: The Diamondstar Halo, we are introduced to the raggedy underdog Fenrir named Fidelis, and follow his journey from underdog to arena contender throughout the four part story.
- In Champions: Maestro Part 2[5], we learn that "Fido" is the derogatory term for Fenrir.
- There are also minor mentions in A Karkadon’s Tale[6] which show Fenrir’s in plenty in all aspects of arena life and Heavy is the Head[7], which eludes to a Fenrir ritual around the Moon.
- The only 5 divinity Prime Eternal is a Fenrir.
