The grand Creator of Massina. A god who composed the 'symphony' that created all the first beings of reality: The Celestials. He unwittingly also created the anomalies which became the Demons, Whisperers and Darulk. Eventually he created an Anomaly so large he could not withstand it: The Absolute. They battled, and Alteus used his final power in its defeat. He then fell, and his body became the world of Massina.[1]
The Blood of Alteus is carried on in the bloodline of the Emperors. [2]
Alteus had a love affair with a Celestial Keymaster named Rislene, resulting in a demi-human child named Emilie. [3]
